This is a sponsored opportunity is for applicants interested in raising and developing a Golden Retriever x Labrador Retriever puppy from service dog lines towards a future role as a Story Dog - supporting children to build confidence and enjoyment through reading.

This is not a standard placement.

We are seeking a committed family willing to follow a structured training pathway, with the shared goal of raising a dog who will aim to become an accredited Volunteer Story Dog, working alongside you in a school setting.

This pathway is highly rewarding and requires:

• A genuine long term commitment to the program and its purpose

The goal for this pathway is to support successful progress through training and assessment as a team, with the commitment to work towards participation in weekly school based reading sessions through the Story Dogs Program.
